“Im sorry. what are you talking about?” He really represent confusion lol. I was absolutely torn by this movie and I'm so glad everyone else felt the same thing. I think it is NOT what you're expecting before you watch it and we all love that sensation! But above it all, it is just an incredibly well constructed drama disguised by laughs. You just laugh in the beginning and start getting progressively sadder up until K sacrifices himself and then they dance and when you notice it you're crying like a baby! Its references too. Both to history as to the film itself. This is just a piece of heaven. Truly. What a masterpiece.

Honestly, I enjoyed this movie. I really chuckled through some parts while crying my way through others. It is not the typical Nazi movie that I am used to but this movie has a special place in my heart. Also, you guys nailed those accents, they were really good. Yorki makes you miss childhood and innocence. 2:48 when my legs suddenly fall asleep. That was an exceptional movie. A real pastiche executed with flair, and enjoyable throughout. Not often do you get a comedy with a relatable message, and genuine emotion.

I think this movie should have won best picture. Parasite is good for sure, but this was better. I saw “Jojo Rabbit”. 👍👍👍😭😭 I guess I would file this one under traumatic WWII movies that I have seen. Told through the eyes of a young German boy who goes to Hitler Youth Camp towards the end of the war, he is so fanatical about Der Fuher that he turns him into an imaginary friend. He is an outcast, and is seen as weak by the overseers of the camp, and so he desperately wants to belong. Jojo's mother dotes on him lovingly, and is the source of his naturally good nature, which ultimately helps him through the insurmountable trials of living through war. Though at many points this movie was laugh out loud funny, it was equally devastating. I shook and cried on and off from when the lights went up to when I went to bed that night, which is the testament to the power of beautiful and affecting art. It is because of these qualities that Jojo Rabbit is a Must See Film for our times. In the name of humanity bitterly torn, In the name of our children as yet to be born, Before we do that which can never be undone, I beg of you, Please think again. Dick Gaughan.

I think its important to remember that this film is all through Jojos perspective. Of course he would look at his world and try to make sense of it through his imagination. All the silly quirks of the characters is because we are seeing through Jojos eyes. The first time he sees Elsa, she comes out of the trap door like a monster. The captain acts like a gunslinging cowboy. The gestapo have sickly sweet smiles. Even Jojo himself acts like the rabbit he thinks he is in many subtle ways. Critics can say what they want, but this film is beautiful. 🐇❤️.

One of the best films of the year. I can just hear CinemaWins saying. Watch this okay trust me. When the music came in, I lost it - sobbing almost uncontrollably. The firm look in the girl's eyes is everything. The russians chocho love yorki. He blowing up the building accidentally is so funny 🤣.

This movie puts forth a powerful moving message, and resonates somewhat with current events. It is quite silly here and there, excusable as it is mostly from the eyes and mind of a young child, but other times it's not as easy to accept.
Personally I feel some of the silliness was misplaced, but this didn't happen that often. I think the film would have been far more powerful with a few tweaks, but if you can see past some of these "over the top" moments the overall message is very moving. Quite a bit of the silliness is due to the child's perspective and conspiracy minded individuals, so those parts are acceptable.
The acting, other than what is mentioned above is superb. I will remember this movie and it's message for quite some time.
I recommend you ignore the critics and give this one a watch.
